The L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine (AWM) is a specially designed 5.56 magazine that aims to combine the reliability of steel with the durability and lightweight properties of polymer. It features a unique hybrid design where a hardened steel feed lip assembly is molded into a proprietary polymer body, and the surface is textured for improved grip and handling. This combination creates a rugged and tough magazine suitable for military, law enforcement, and competition use.
The L5AWM is compatible with various modern weapon systems, including popular ones like M4, M16, AR15, SCAR16, HK416, ARX160, SIG556, ARC, SIG MCX, IWI Tavor, IWI X95, SA80, all chambered in 5.56x45mm /.223 Remington. The magazine is designed, tooled, manufactured, and assembled in the USA, ensuring quality and reliability.
Additionally, Lancer offers a Limited series of magazines with the same benefits as the standard L5AWM, but with permanently installed capacity limiters. These capacity limiters reduce the magazine's capacity, making them compliant with regulations in all fifty states.
