The 8mm Mauser (also known as 7.92×57mm Mauser) is a historic and iconic cartridge that was widely used by the German military during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was developed in the 1890s and was the standard rifle and machine gun cartridge for the German Empire during World War I and World War II.
